Over the past few months CIC has been in contact with a number of new partners in the hopes of receiving enough funding to continue our work in Sudan. We had received initial grant funding to allow us to work for two years in Sudan, but as of 2008 that funding had run out. With much prayer and hopefulness we began searching for new partners to aid us in our work in Sudan, and as of January 2009 we had received a grant for $85,000 which will allow us to work in the region for another two years. The only catch is this is a matching grant, meaning we need to match the money dollar for dollar in order to receive the full amount. In matching this grant CIC would be able not only to continue work in the regions where we have already begun, but also to expand into two NEW regions of Sudan that have been asking for CIC training! We are again prayerful and hopeful that God will provide the matching grants necessary to fund our work in Sudan. If you are interested in giving to support this work, now is the time!
